Astoria Senior Living and Memory Care in Oakdale, CA, was recently named the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year. The award was given at the chamber’s annual awards dinner on March 10, 2023.
Along with residents of Astoria, Executive Director, Jackie Hernandez; Senior Living Consultant, Lucia Osorio; Director of Nursing, MaryAnne Damasco; Life Enrichment Coach, Isabel Gutierrez; and Administrative Assistant, Margarita Guizar, were in attendance to accept the award.
Jackie Hernandez says the community is thrilled to be recognized. “We are truly honored to receive this award. It is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the willingness of families and residents to place their trust in us. It is my pleasure to work together with our team to support residents and provide opportunities for them to live, laugh and grow. Days like today renew my understanding of the potential for our team to make an impact in Oakdale.”
Astoria is proud of their involvement with the chamber and regularly participates in chamber events, including fundraisers, parades and more. Hernandez says, “The chamber is a wonderful organization. I’ve personally had the pleasure of serving on the Board of Directors and it has been a great experience. Participation in the incredible activities the chamber provides is a wonderful way for Astoria residents to stay connected to the community outside Astoria’s walls and for our team to further impact the community around us.”
