Executive Director
Jennifer Beisheim, RN, BSN, LNHA
Jennifer Beisham led Astoria under previous ownership and now joins the Agemark team as our community’s Executive Director.
A nurse with a wide variety of experience, she holds a BSN and a LHNA. Jennifer began her career in oncology, nephrology and neurology before working for Douglas County for 20 years, where she managed a variety of areas including employee health, staff development, and more. She joined the former Brighton Gardens as Director of Nursing before earning a promotion to Executive Director.
Jennifer feels blessed to have a career working with seniors and particularly enjoys hearing the life stories of those who call Astoria home.
Jennifer is married to her high school sweetheart. They’ll celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in July 2023. They have two adult children: Lauren and Ian. Outside of a four-year span where the family was stationed in North Carolina, they’ve made Nebraska their home. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, as well as photography and puzzles.
Senior Living Consultant
Melissa Socha
Melissa joined Astoria in July as our Senior Living Consultant. She has been working for retirement homes for over four years as the Care Coordinator/Manager. She has a Bachelors degree in Multidisciplinary Studies in Healthcare Administration and Gerontology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
When she was growing up, she used to be a caregiver for her grandmother, who had Parkinson and Dementia. Since she personally went through it and was able to see the good and bad sides of it, she feels connected with our residents and prospects. She is a great resource and guide for others.As a Senior Living Consultant, she loves connecting with people and learning their life story.
When Melissa is not working, she is spending time with her Husband and her pets.
