Assisted living rates

For those who need little or no health care, one monthly rate includes everything: all amenities and residential services such as 24-hour staff and security, daily meals, local transportation, weekly housekeeping and laundry, maintenance, basic TV service, utilities, and wireless Internet, plus our extensive activity program. In addition, complimentary wellness services include on-site care staff, vital sign checks, help with scheduling appointments, and daily wellness checks.

At Astoria, we offer three different apartment types to consider: studio, deluxe studio and one-bedroom. Base rates start at $2,495 monthly, just $82 per day.

Other cost considerations include a one-time community fee of $2,500, which is refundable upon move-out within the first 30 days. A 2nd occupant added to a room is $1200/month. A $500 deposit adds you to the waiting list of our community and is applied to your first month’s rent. The deposit is fully refundable if a move does not occur.

Memory care rates

Those with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia have a choice of two memory care neighborhoods at Astoria. Each is distinctly different, but both offer a safe, secure and homelike environment, with expert staff on hand 24/7. Residents of both neighborhoods engage in life enrichment activities, are served delicious homemade meals, and benefit from free local transportation, outings and scenic drives, weekly laundry and housekeeping and much more.

Via Verde is Astoria’s newest neighborhood, completed in April 2024. The larger of the two neighborhoods, Via Verde features both companion and private suites with en suite bathrooms. Common spaces include a spacious dining room, resident kitchen and activity area, a dedicated space for on-site PT, OT and Speech Therapy, a theatre and more.

The Villa is our original memory care neighborhood, and offers studio suites only. The area is smaller and provides a more intimate environment. The Villa has its own smaller dining area and activity spaces.

Regardless of the neighborhood where they reside, residents are welcome to go back and forth to each neighborhood to participate in activities. Staff are on-site to allow for safe transfers.

Starting base rates for The Villa begin at $3,795 monthly and rates for Via Verde start at $4,995.

Level of Care

Additional health care is available at Astoria for services such as medication delivery, diabetic supervision, and bathing or dressing assistance. Prior to moving in, individuals are assessed by our wellness coordinator to determine what kind of healthcare services might be needed to successfully live here. Each health care service is assigned a point value that is based on the number of minutes it takes to perform the service as well as the level of expertise of the staff person providing the service. We offer four care levels. Level 1 starts at $650 monthly, with costs going up from there based on resident needs.

If you assess at a level two or below, you may elect to choose and all-inclusive plan. If you opt for all-inclusive rates, you’re locked in an all-inclusive package for the duration of your residency. Please note that regular rate increases apply to all plans – base rates plus levels of care and all-inclusive.

Respite stay rates

A short-term stay is a great way to find out how well an individual will acclimate to the community setting. It can also be a bridge between hospitalization and home or a helpful respite for family caregivers who need to travel or just take a break.

A short-term stay in assisted living is $250 per 24-hour period. A short-term stay in memory care is $300 per 24-hour period. Additional fees may be charged for enhanced care or personal attendants. A minimum length stay may be required. Please ask for details.
